Role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) has specific responsibility for safeguarding at the school. The DSL is assisted by a Deputy DSL who can carry out all of the duties of the DSL. The DSL at NCS are Ian Beard (Headteacher) and Andrea Gray (Deputy Headteacher).
